Cute Connor

Connor is growing up so fast. He is now five and a half months and I think he weighs about 16 to 17 pounds. He has almost tripled his birth weight. He has also learned how to roll. He can roll from his back to his tummy and then from his tummy to his back, but only in one direction. So he will roll across the floor until he gets trapped by something like the couch, and then he gets mad because he can't go anywhere. I think it is kind of funny.

Another one of Connor's new talents is sitting up by himself. He is still kind of wobbly, but he is falling on his face less and less. He also loves his Johnny Jumper. I love it too, because I can put him in it and he can entertain himself for almost an hour. This means that I can cook dinner without being interrupted every two minutes.

Connor also enjoys hanging out with his cousin Jaime. Nicole occasionally babysits in the afternoons so I can go to work for a few hours a week. Jaime plays with Connor and shares her toys, and Connor really likes watching Jaime run around. He smiles whenever he sees her. Jamie is going to be a great big sister and she has decided she wants to have a baby brother because she likes Connor so much. It is really nice having family so close.

My Little Man

This is what happens to little boys when they have five aunts. Poor little man. Aimee was making baby girl headbands for a baby shower we are going to tomorrow and she wanted to make sure they were the right size. Connor was the model. He didn't really enjoy the experience and I can't blame him.
I was going through some of Connor's clothes yesterday and I found all of his preemie outfits. I had forgotten how tiny he was. He got down to 4 pounds 10 ounces and the little blue sleeper was big on him. I had to take some comparison pictures just to show how much he has grown.

New Pictures of Connor

I love the little dimple in Connor's chin. He wasn't real happy with me in this picture because I had just put on his shoes. I can't really blame him -- he doesn't need them. I just think they are cute.

I need to be better about updating my blog. Things have been going well -- the summer is disappearing fast which makes me a little sad. I don't know what happened. Oh well, fall is a good season too. I just don't want to go through winter again.

Andrew is out of school for the semester and it has been nice having him around in the evenings. I'm going to be sad when he starts fall semester. He only has one year left, though. Yeah!

Connor is adorable. I took these pictures today of him in his swing. I was trying to catch up on some emails but he was being so cute I had to stop and take pictures. He is getting so chubby -- I love his cheeks and his little thunder thighs. If you hadn't guessed, my life is pretty much centered around Connor, and I'm loving it.

Smiling Baby

I probably spent 20 minutes today trying to catch a smile from Connor. He was being so cute, but every time I took a picture he would look away or the smile would disappear. This was the only one I got.

Family Photo

Here is the family! It has been such a long time since we have had a family picture taken. I think Sarah was still a baby, and now she is fourteen. It was a lot of fun, and they took so many pictures of us. We got some really cute pictures of Connor and a good family portrait Andrew, the baby, and me.

Today we all went to have our pictures taken -- Mom, Dad, John, Sarah, me, Andrew, Connor, Nicole, Joe, Jaime, Aimee, and Paul. We got some good family pictures and some cute pictures of Connor. He was being kind of grumpy at the beginning, but then he cheered up. He is such a darling baby!

Jaime and Connor

Jaime is such a great cousin! She loves to hold Connor and help change his diaper. She calls him, "My baby cousin," or sometimes, "My baby sister cousin." I'm not sure where that sister part comes from. Maybe she wants a baby sister but figures that Connor will have to do.

Connor at the Hospital

This is baby Connor right after he was born. He weighted 5 pounds 11 ounces and was 17 inches long. He also had an enormous cone head. The doctor pulled him out and then said "Look, it's Connor Conehead!" Poor baby. Even with his head so squished he was such a beautiful newborn.

Our Family

This is our little family. Andrew is a great Dad. He changes diapers, takes care of the baby at night, and still occasionally makes me dinner. He works full time at Nestle in the QA department and then goes to school in the evening at UVU.

I recently quit work to start a new, better job -- taking care Connor. It hasn't been easy, but I love staying home with my baby. He is such a sweetie.

Connor turned two months on July 21. He now weighs about 10 pounds and is growing back the hair he lost on the top of his head. He also has the cutest smile. I love it when he smiles back at me. He eats all the time, sleeps, and poops. We love him so much.
